Help us to support Vasa! Vasa needs a new support structure to keep it from sinking – again.

The ship has been resting in the same support cradle since it was salvaged. This support structure must now be replaced, otherwise the ship is at risk of sinking under its own weight. The current support structure is damaging the ship and creating deformations in the hull due to the weakened nature of the ship’s wood. The ship is also leaning slightly towards the port side and must therefore be straightened.

In order to preserve Vasa for the future, the ship needs a new support structure. The Vasa Museum needs help to fund this – the biggest challenge that the museum has undertaken since the salvaging and conservation of the ship – and is gratefully accepting donations.

The donations go to the Vasa Rediviva foundation. 100% of all donations received will be used for the work to provide Vasa a new support structure.
