Getting here
The Vasa Museum is located at Galärvarvsvägen 14, on Djurgården in Stockholm. You can get here by tram, bus, car and ferry.
Temperature
In order for the ship Vasa to stay preserved in the best way, a temperature of 18-20°C is required. It can sometimes feel chilly inside the museum, so please bring a warm sweater.
Film
The film about Vasa is shown daily, in Swedish, English, German and French, with English subtitles.

Accessibility
There are lifts to every floor of the museum, accessible bathrooms on the ground floor. Two accessible parking spaces are located by the museum.
No large bags allowed
Larger bags and wheeled bags are not allowed in the museum. You are allowed to bring handbags and small rucksacks, which you carry in your hand, on your back or on your stomach throughout your visit. You must not leave your bag unattended.
At the museum
Food and drink
The Vasa Museum's restaurant offers food, snacks and beverages in a cozy setting. You are not allowed to consume food and drink inside the museum, except in the restaurant. The Vasa Museum has no picnic area. Picnic areas are located outside the museum.
Audio guide
Audio guides are available in several languages and can be downloaded to a smartphone or tablet. There is also an audio guide for children. The museum has free Wi-Fi.
Guided tours
We offer daily guided tours. A tour around the ship is about 25 minutes long and the price is included in the entrance fee.
Toilets
Toilets are located at the entrance, at the information desk on the ground floor, on the 3rd floor and in the restaurant. Accessible toilets are available at the entrance and in the restaurant.
For families and kids
Strollers
You may bring stollers and prams in to the museum, but not inside the restaurant.
Changing table
Changing tables are available in the accessible toilets at the information desk, in the entrance hall, on the 3rd floor and in the restaurant.

Visit us together
Free admission for children 0-18 years. Children younger than 12 years must be accompanied by an adult.
Good to know
No animals
Pets are not allowed in the museum, except for service animals.
Group tours
Please note! Open guided tours is for individual visitors only. Groups larger than 10 persons can book a private guided tour at a cost of 1,200 SEK for up to 30 people.
No luggage storage
There is no storage available for luggage or clothes. Keep your belongings with you at all times.
Closed exhibtion
The exhibition Face to Face will close for renovation during November 2024.
