The Vasa Museum is situated at Galärvarvsvägen 14, Djurgården, Stockholm. There are several ways to get to this museum island and national city park. Welcome!

Tram line 7 is currently experiencing traffic disruptions and replacement buses are operating the route. The buses have less capacity, and due to this it is good to add a little extra time for the journey or take the ferry instead. See more information about the different travel options below.

Car park

The Djurgården island has very few parking lots. There is a small car park near the museum, but it is often full. It is easier to find parking on the other side of the Djurgården bridge, in the streets near the bridge. Two accessible parking spaces are located outside the main entrance of the museum.

Out of consideration for Djurgården's nature and environment, parts of the Djurgårdsvägen road are closed for car traffic occasionally during spring, summer and autumn. Buses, taxis, vehicles with a valid disabled badge, bicycles and mopeds are allowed to pass.

In 2024, the Djurgårdsvägen road is closed for car traffic 20 April-15 September on Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays between 10.00 and 17.00. The closure applies from the Djurgårdsbron bridge in the direction onto Djurgården.

Please note: The inner part of the Galärvarvsvägen road, by the Vasa Museum, is closed for car traffic 15 May-15 September all days between 9.00 and 17.00. Vehicles with a valid permit are allowed to pass.
